Children's day with Zbrojovka and football match of stars
In 2018, we prepared the Children's Day with Zbrojovka and the football match of stars, which was also the last match in Luboš Kalouda's career. According to the tickets issued, the attendance was around 3,500 visitors and thereaction from the general public and our friends was more than positive.
The program for the children's day was provided by organizations focused on various types of activities, whether sports or artistic, led by the general partner, the KROUŽKY school facility. The event also included a "Tournament of Preparatory School", which was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Brno, Ing. Petr Vokřál, and was supported by the South Moravian Region under the auspices of the Governor of Brno, JUDr. Bohumil Šimek, who also personally participated. 28 teams and a total of 308 players entered the tournament.
The event also included the christening of the book Two Minute World Champions, which describes the story of all the participants of the 2007 U20 World Cup in Canada.
The football match itself was truly in the spirit of stardom. Lubos Kalouda's selection called Kaloudova 11 played against Petr Švancara's selection.
The invitation was accepted by many great footballers led by the Ivory Coast national team and player of the English team Manchester City Bony Wilfried. There were also Marek Suchý, Martin Fenin, Jakub Mareš, Ondřej Kůdela, Tomáš Necid, Kamil Vacek, Zdeněk Grygera, Ondřej Kušnír, Marek Heinz, Tomáš Ujfaluši, Tomáš Rada, Tomáš Fryšták, Radek Petr, Petr Janda, Jiří Valenta, Vladimír Darida, Tomáš Cihlář, Martin Held, Tomáš Mičola, Ladislav Krejčí st., Radek Šírl. Coach Miroslav Soukup took the coach's bench.
In the selection of Zbrojovka Petr Švancara appeared Marek Zúbek, Patrik Siegl, Pavel Holomek, Patrik Holomek, Richard Dostálek, Jan Polák, Petr Křivánek, Marek Střeštík, Lukáš Mareček, Tomáš Okleštěk, Marcel Cupák, Petr Pavlík, Jakub Brabec, Jiří Skalák, Pavel Zavadil, Zdeněk Valnoha, Michal Kolomazník, Jan Maroši, Tomáš Došek, Radim Vlasák and Dušan Melichárek. The coaching trio of Petr Uličný, Karel Trnečka and Karel Večeřa took the bench.
Before the kickoff, legendary players of ZBROJOVKA and owners of the only Czechoslovakian football championship title from 1978 were awarded.
Throughout the day, refreshments with various assortments were provided for the visitors, which we chose to satisfy every visitor. This service was very much appreciated by most of the visitors, but especially by the parents of the children of the tournament, as this option is not usual at similar events.
Thanks to the financial support of our partners, we managed to fulfill the charitable subtext of the event and the help was directed to the F.D.Roosevelt Secondary School for the Physically Handicapped in Brno, the Infant Institute and Children's Home Chovánek in Brno, the Children's Home in Strážnice and the Home for the Elderly Holásecká in Brno. We also supported the Hospice for old, abused and handicapped dogs Give us a chance.
After the end of the whole tournament and the match of the stars there was a big autograph session until late hours, as there was a crowd of people interested in the autographs of all the football stars. A total of 61 business partners contributed to the success of the event, for which we thank them very much!
